Rev. Curtis W. Smith is the son of Mr. Frank W. & Mrs. Jean L. Smith. He has been married for the past 25 years to First Lady Ana M. Smith.
He is the proud father of 5 beautiful daughters, one son-in-law and the grandfather to 3 grandchildren.
Rev. Smith is a native of Paulsboro N.J. and a son of the Second Baptist Church of Paulsboro. He was educated in the Paulsboro school system.
After graduating from Paulsboro High School in 1973 he attended Glassboro State College. Upon being called to the ministry he transferred to
Philadelphia College of Bible. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Bible from the Philadelphia Biblical University.
Rev. Smith was licensed to preach the Gospel in 1974 at the age of 19. The Bethany Baptist Association ordained him in 1976.
He is currently the Pastor of The Saint Mark Baptist Church in Browns Mills were he has served for almost 28 years. Under his leadership
the church membership has grown from 13 members to over 300. In 2001 he led the congregation into a new 400-seat sanctuary.
Rev. Smith is currently the 1st Vice Moderator of The Bethany Baptist Association, President of The Baptist Pastor's Conference of
Burlington County & Vicinity and the 2nd Vice President of The New Light Missionary Union. He is also active in the General Baptist Convention
of The State of N.J., The Hampton Ministers Conference, and The National Baptist Convention U.S.A. Inc. and employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant
at the Mercer County Children’s Medical Day Care.
Rev. Smith is a dynamic preacher as well as a gifted singer and pianist. He has dedicated his life to the work of Jesus Christ and
leading people to Christ. His favorite scripture is Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengthened me.
